William Samuel Godbe
Although Godbe is not directly linked to sources for the 1851 Thomas Williams Freight Train, his association with Williams immediately after arriving in the Valley suggests that this is the freight train with which he traveled on his first trip to the Valley. Godbe crossed the plains many more times with his freighting business.
