Ellen Sorensen

Facebook Twitter Print Mail
  • Ellen arrived in New York on 15 February 1856 via the ship John J. Boyd. British Mission records (as found in Mormon Migration) show that she was coming from Zealand, Denmark and seem to indicate she was traveling with four teenagers (Niels Madsen, Ann Madsen, Jacobine Madsen, and Hans P. Jensen.), three of which appear close to her name on Canute company records as well. Her birth year is extrapolated from the age given on ship an overland company records. Further research is needed to identify exactly who she was.
