  • Though only heads of household are listed on the company records, the documentation that Hannah's father, William, purchased 3 1/2 adult food rations indicate that mother (Margaret) and two siblings (Louisa and Mary) accompanied him on the overland journey. It is likely they also brought an infant daughter named Cynthia, but further research is needed to confirm that.

    Hannah was born after the 1860 Virginia census and is seen in the 1870 Utah census as Maggie, born in Missouri.
