  • Mary Ann traveled from England with John Cooper, who was among the twenty men that remained at Devil's Gate through the winter. They were married upon his arrival in Salt Lake in June of 1857.

    Her name does not appear on the Mormon Migration index, but if you locate John Cooper on the 1856 Enoch Train and click on the photograph of the ship manifest, you will see her name directly below his.
