Samuel P. Brown

Facebook Twitter Print Mail
  • Samuel arrived in Utah in 1851 or 1852.  He does not appear in the 1850 Utah census, and the first documentation to place him in Utah is his purchase of land 31 August 1853, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration.  Further research is needed to determine the year he came to Utah and the name of the company he traveled with.

Samuel Pearce Brown came to Utah in 1858.  It is doubtful that they are the same person because this second Samuel was married in New Jersey in April 1854.
