  • Lars is listed on the ship manifest as coming with his wife and six children on the James Nesmith in 1855.  His wife died in Alton, Illinois later that year. He was then left with six children. Only Soren, however is listed on the emigration report for this company. His older sister, Anna Margaretha Jacobsen also came to Utah with him.

His birth and death dates listed were found in a personal, online family history record (such as Family Tree, Ancestry, or My Heritage), without accompanying documentation.  Further research is needed to verify its accuracy.

The family sailed to America in 1855 on the ship James Nesmith.
