        • Soren's father (Christopher) died in 1858 in Iowa. There is documentation that Mads traveled with his siblings (Gertrude, Carl Marinus, and Soren Peter) to Utah. However, his mother (Mariane Madsen Christensen) is not listed in company sources. Therefore, at this time it is not clear when she (Mariane) came to Utah.
