  • Peder and his family (including his parents, Peder and Karen) emigrated to the United States on the ship William Tapscott in 1860. Peder's family included his wife, Mette Marie, and three chldren: Niels Peter, Johan Carl, and Anthon. Anthon died 7 June 1860 while crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Niels Peter died 18 August 1860 while crossing the plains through Nebraska.
