  • His surname is "Thrane" on the 1860 William Tapscott ship register. He initially traveled to the Valley in 1860, but several years later, he was asked to cross the plains again, this time as a teamster for the 1866 Chipman out-and-back company.

    Birth date confirmed by Lehi Ward records at the time of Thomas's re-baptism on 11 November 1860.
