  • Emma died en route at age 6 months. She was the daughter of Emma Hill.  On the death list of  the Ira Eldridge Emigrating Company Journal both she and her mother are listed as "Emily," but on the 1861 passenger list of the ship Manchester, both are listed as "Emma."
