  • William and his nephew Alexander came from Scotland in 1862 on the ship Manchester.  His nephew William also came with them but because of the same name he was not listed on the ship manifest.

    He traveled with his nephews, Alexander and William Izatt.

    His surname is spelled "Isudd" on the Deseret News roster and "Gatt" on the 1870 Utah census.

    His birth and death dates are confirmed by the burial record.
