Lydia Hazell

  • Lydia converted to the Church in Scotland. The missionary who taught her was William Gibson. She sailed to America on the William Tapscott, and arrived in New York on 14 May 1862. Her name on the ship passenger list is "Lya Hazell." After her arrival in Utah she married William Gibson. She was an actress. She was buried in the Brigham Young Cemetery, but her grave was destroyed.
