  • Her birth and death dates are confirmed by the inscription on her gravestone.

The New York Passenger List confirms that she came to America in 1864 on the ship Hudson.  No family members accompanied her.  The hand-written Hudson ship manifest shows a 47-year-old "Ephraim Simpson" who was a "widow" as a passenger.  This is likely Euphemia, but her name was misunderstood and was written incorrectly on the ship manifest.
