  • Elmira was re-baptized in the Salt Lake Valley on 1 November 1848.  She appears in the 1850 federal census of Utah (taken in early 1851) living in Salt Lake City.  In the 1856 Utah Territorial census and the 1860 federal census she was living in the Salt Lake 8th ward and is listed as a Hotel Keeper in the latter.  On her death certificate and in the Salt Lake County Death Records her given name is spelled "Elmisa."
