  • William, wife Alice, children Ann, John, Elizabeth, Samuel and Moses came from England in 1864 on the ship General McClellan.

    He came with his family. The family's name was spelled "Critchley" on the ship passenger list and Warren company records and "Cruchley" on the 1870 census.

    Birth year confirmed by Centerville Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 3 June 1865.
