  • She traveled with the Hendrickson family.  In some sources her name is "Mette Marie Pedersen."  Also known as "Maria."  Her obituary says both her parents died on the plains but New Family Search indicates her father died at Quincy, Adams County, Illinois.  According to her obituary a George Farnsworth took her to Mount Pleasant, Sanpete County, Utah where she was raised by Hans Brown until she was sixteen.  She appears in the Brown household in the 1870 Utah census.  She moved to Castle Dale, Emery County and married Frederick Carl Emil Larsen.  Find A Grave and New Family Search do not agree about the names of her parents.
