  • Wixom's diary seems to indicate she was traveling alone, but the company records show she purchased three adult food rations, so it was likely she was traveling with two other members of the company. It was likely Alice Townsend and Harriet Painter, two other single women whose names are close to Ann's in the British Mission record seen in Mormon Migration, and who also traveled in the same wagon as Ann. After arriving in the valley, she married Justin C. Wixom, who was a returning missionary traveling with her company.
