        • The Deseret News record indicates he was traveling with his wife "and 2." The two children were his daughter, Frances and his wife's son, by a previous marriage. The original roster also indicates that his wife's sister, Ruth was also part of their traveling group, as well as a young woman named Elizabeth Reese. Further research is needed to determine the nature of the family's relationship with Elizabeth.
