  • Rasmus and his wife, Maren, arrived in New Orleans on 16 March 1853. They were traveling with Maren's son, Wilhelm Anderson, and his family. Wilhelm and his family continued on to the Valley in the 1853 John E. Forsgren Company.

Rasmus is connected to the company through the Christian Munk journal, which documents Rasmus' death shortly after the small group of the Forsgren Company arrived in Spring City, Utah. It is very unlikely that his wife Maren would not have continued with him and her death is documented in the area several years later, so she is included in this company as well.
