  • Surname is spelled "Hostler" on Deseret News roster. His death date is confirmed by his death certificate.  Although his death certificate and find a grave has his birth date as 1874 his birth registration has his birth date as 1862 and he was on the 1866 ship Caroline manifest as 3 years old. He was 17 years old in the 1880 Mona, Juab, Utah census.
