  • Nephi was indirectly listed in the company roster in William Chipman's notebook under his father Thomas Dowding.

    More research is needed to confirm Nephi's date of birth as secondary sources are inconsistent. However, from information given in the the collection, "England and Wales, Civil Registration Index," on FamilySearch.org, it is believed that Nephi was born sometime between April and June 1856.
