Henry arrived in New York on 28 July 1868 via the ship Colorado. British Mission records indicate Henry was a shoemaker from England. It also seems to infer, along with the New York ship passenger list, that he made the overseas journey alone. However, the McArthur Company records show that there were 3 people in his "family" or traveling group during the overland portion of the journey. Company records, and an article in the Semi-Weekly Telegraph, report that Henry shot and killed himself accidentally after a camp shooting excursion. Further research is needed to identify exactly who he was and who the two people were who were traveling with him.
