  • John and some members of his family crossed the Atlantic on the ship Constitution in 1868 and John's name appears in the P. E. F. records for that year.  In the 1869 Salt Lake City Directory he and two of his sons (David and James) are listed at the same Salt Lake City address.  In the 1870 Utah census John and his wife Elizabeth appear in the household of their son-in-law "Archy Frim" (Archibald Frame).
