  • Wife of James. James traveled with his wife, Alice Elizabeth. His obituary states that he emigrated from England with his family and married Alice Watson in New York. The two of them then continued the westward journey as part of the 1868 William S. Seeley Company. It would appear that although their surname was listed as "Stiff" on the passenger list, they used the last name "Neville" in census records etc. after their arrival to Utah.
