  • Mary Jane was a single woman and sister of James Morris Farmer. Her given name is written "Maryann" on the roster. She traveled with James, his wife, and his children in the Hunt company. She was married soon after her arrival to Utah to Thomas Butterfield and was located with him on the 1860 Utah census.
