  • On the original handwritten roster of the William B. Preston company her name was spelled "Petrea Jacobsen."  The 1864 Monarch of the Sea ship manifest shows her name as "Petrea Baltsarsen." 

    More research is needed to confirm Petrea's date of birth as secondary sources and family tradition from Family Tree at FamilySearch conflict. At this time, data from family tradition will be used.
