  • Edward arrived in Utah before the birth of his son on 14 May 1867. E. B. appears in the Salt Lake City directory of 1867. Additional research is needed to identify the year he crossed the plains and the name of the company with which he traveled.

At the end of a mission, he traveled home with the Chester Loveland Company in 1868 as indicated by the Deseret Evening News article of 20 August 1868.  He acted as company clerk.

His birth and death dates are confirmed by the inscription on his gravestone.
