  • William returned to Iowa with Brigham Young. He appears on the Brigham Young return lists. A bounty land application (available on FamilySearch) dated January 1848, confirms that he left the Utah Territory. The 1850 census, though, confirms that he returned to Utah sometime in 1850 or early 1851. We know he was back in Utah by September 1851 because he married Ann Roylance at that time in Springville, Utah.
