  • First documentation to place Christiann in Utah is a rebaptism performed in the Centerville Ward on 4 November 1860. Her husband's PEF record confirms that they traveled in 1860. Her obituary printed in the Woman's Exponent indicated that she arrived in Utah in August 1860 as a member of a handcart company. If this is correct, it is likely that she traveled with the Robison handcart company. It was the only handcart company to travel that year.

Their two daughters, Margaret and Barbara, remained in Pennsylvania and did not come to the Valley until the following year. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company they traveled with.

Given name is spelled "Christeann" in Centerville Ward records.
