  • His surname is "Clark" on the 1853 ship Golconda.  He is the son of Ann Southwell Seymour Clark.

    Charles initially emigrated to the valley in 1853, but several years later, he worked as a teamster for William Hyde's out-and-back company in 1864.

    Birth date confirmed by Sugarhouse Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 8 March 1856.
