Gilbert Bickmore
Gilbert first traveled to the Valley by way of California, as a discharged member of the Mormon Battalion. He continued on east to Winter Quarters and is seen crossing the plains again in the 1852 Outhouse company, traveling with his wife and young daughter. Only Gilbert's name is listed on the company roster, as head of household. However, the roster also notes that his traveling group consisted of two adults and one child. Many of his other family members (parents and siblings) were also traveling in this company.
