  • Gustave traveled with his wife, Maren, and their son, Charles Augustus. According to Mormon migration records, they crossed the ocean by way of the ship Westmoreland. They continued their journey to Utah as part of the Christian Christiansen company. Also traveling in their care was young Louis Halvorsen, sent ahead by his parents. The rest of the Halvorsen family traveled to the Valley two years later.
