  • He came to Utah in either 1857 or 1858.  He came with his sister Maren Sophia.  They likely came in 1857 the year they sailed to America.  But the first documentation to place him in Utah is the birth of his first child, 24 July 1859.

    Hans came on the ship, Westmoreland in 1857 with his sister, Maren Sophie and he married in the  Mormon staging area in 1857 to Magdalena Nielsen.
