  • Wife of Niels Pedersen Bertelsen.  They, with their youngest daughter Christiana crossed the Atlantic on the ship "Consignment" in 1863.   This fact, plus evidence from Perpetual Emigrating Fund records and Niels' obituary proves that the Bertelsens crossed the plains in 1863 but these records do not name the pioneer company with which they traveled.  Additional research is needed.  In the Utah Cemeteries and Burials database Maren's given name is spelled "Moren."
