George Scholes
George initially traveled to the Salt Lake Valley with the Brigham Young Pioneer Company in 1847 and was part of the 5th Company of Ten led by Stephen H. Goddard. At some point he returned to Winter Quarters. He crossed the plains again some time in 1852 with his new wife and child. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company they traveled with.
His death date comes from a personal online family history record without accompanying documentation. Further evidence is needed to confirm its accuracy.
He and his family sailed to America in 1851 on the ship The Sheffield.
