  • She sailed to America with her mother and siblings in 1849 on the ship Buena Vista.

    Her death date is confirmed by her death certificate where she is Sarah "Jackman."  In the 1850 Utah census she is listed as Sarah "Jones." (Her mother had married Dan Jones in December 1849.) In the 1860 Utah census she is listed along with her mother and some of her siblings under the surname "Lewis."

    Her birth and death dates are confirmed by her death certificate and the Utah State History Cemeteries and Burials Database.
