  • Although his father's 1851 letter states that they traveled in "Blake's" company, they may have traveled in the 1850 James Lake company. His birth date is confirmed by the inscription on his gravestone and his death date is confirmed by his death certificate, but his name on the certificate is listed as "Thadius E. Flemmings."

    In 1856, Thaddeus served a mission to Australia. His mission lasted less than a year. It is unclear if he returned to Utah in the same year or if he returned later. More research is required.
