  • Johanna traveled with her husband, Samuel, and their children. The main source for this family is a local history. Although this is a secondary source, it was compiled and published while Mrs. Lublin was still alive. Presumably, she contributed information about her family's overland travel.

    The family sailed to America in 1855 on the ship Charles Buck.
