  • Evidence from emigration and church (Perpetual Emigrating Fund) records proves the Abel family traveled to Utah in 1863.  The Abel family sailed to America in 1863 on the ship Cynosure.

    Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company with which the family came to Utah.

     

     

    Her surname on death certificate and gravestone show her married surname of "Bourne."
