  • Evidence from historical and newspaper records proves he traveled to Utah in 1852. Some non-contemporary newspaper sources identify him as a captain of ten.

    His wife, Parna Chappell Harris and some of his children, came to Utah in 1850 with the William Snow/Joseph Young pioneer company.
