  • The family sailed to America in 1863 on the ship B. S. Kimball.  Evidence from emigration and church (Perpetual Emigrating Fund) records proves the Andersen family traveled to Utah in 1863.  Ane's obituary also states that she came to Utah in 1863.  Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company with which she traveled.

The inscription on her gravestone shows her name as "Anna M. Nelson."
