  • George Court traveled to New York with his family on the Amazon in 1863. His father, John Court and sister, Lydia Court, were mentioned in the Elijah Larkin Diary as part of the McArthur Company. Evidence from emigration, church (Perpetual Emigrating Fund), and genealogical records proves the Court family traveled together to Utah in 1863 in the McArthur Company.

His surname is spelled "Court" on the ship and "Cortes" on the 1870 Utah census.
