  • Selena sailed to America in 1863 on the ship Cynosure.  The ship lists her sister Sarah as coming also but Sarah died in 1850, her other sister Fanny is the one that traveled with her.

    Evidence that she came in the 1863 Haight company is confirmed in information found in local church financial records. Her surname is spelled "Palfrey" on the PEF ledger. Her given name is spelled "Salina" in the financial record. Her PEF indebtedness was paid on 7 Sep. 1871.

    Surname is "Nelson" on the 1870 Utah census, death certificate and Find A Grave website.  She married Aaron Nelson.
