  • Thomas and his soon-to-be wife, Harriet Hodder, arrived in New Orleans on 7 June 1853 via the ship Camillus. Salt Lake 11th Ward records indicate that he and his wife (along with his mother and father-in-law) joined the ward in March of 1854, confirming they traveled to the Valley the same year they arrived in America. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company they traveled with. Birth date is also confirmed by these ward records.
