  • Margaret and her parents, arrived in New York on 5 July 1866 via the ship American Congress. The overland company records only list her father Robert as head of household. However, the notation that he purchased 2 1/2 adult food rations indicates that his wife and daughter were still with him for the this part of the journey.

    Her age is calculate based on the age given on the ship roster.
