  • On the 1853 Camillus ship manifest, her name is listed as "Susan King" with her stepfather George Jarvis, her mother Mary Ann, and two other children of  George and Mary Ann.

Evidence from emigration and genealogical records proves the family traveled to Utah in 1853.

The inscription on her gravestone shows her name as "Susannah King Hodgson," and it shows her birth date as 5 March 1848, and her death date as 14 August 1877.  However, the correct birth date is confirmed by England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975.
