  • David arrived in New York on 2 November 1863 via the ship Star of the West. His obituary indicates that he traveled to the Valley in 1864, which was the same year that three of his siblings arrived in the United States as well so they likely crossed the plains to the Valley together. The entry for his brother, Joseph, published in Pioneers and Prominent Men, indicates that they traveled in the 1864 Warren Company.
