  • Inger and her son Niels and daughter Maren sailed to America in 1861 on the ship Monarch of the Sea. The ship manifest shows Inger’s name as “Inger Larsen,” a widow. Niels’s name is shown as “Niels Andersen.” Maren is listed as "Maren K. Jorgensen." Inger's brother, Jorgen Larsen, also traveled with them to Utah. More research is needed to confirm whether Niels traveled with them to Utah. His name in the pioneer database is Niels Andersen Jeppesen.

Inger's is listed in the company records under the name "Inger Hansen."

The inscription on her gravestone shows her name as "Inger Nielsen," and it confirms her birth and death dates.
