  • A family tradition recounted in "Conquerers of the West" contends that the Robbins family came to Utah in 1853. The first documented events found placing the family in Utah are rebaptisms of several family members on 14 August 1853. They also purchased property in Salt Lake City in November 1853. Since John Robbins is not listed on the 1852 bishops' report, it is likely that they traveled to Utah in 1853. The rebaptism date is rather early so they apparently did not travel with any known Mormon company that year.

Company Unknown (1853)
