  • Hannah crossed the Atlantic on the ship Zetland in 1849. On the list of Zetland passengers arriving at the port of New Orleans the name Hannah Morley immediately follows that of William Thompson. According to this source both William and Hannah were forty years old (born ca. 1809.) In the 1850 federal census of Utah (taken in early 1851) she is in the household of William Thompson, apparently as his wife; William is age 43, Hannah is age 42.  In 1852, when Hannah received a Patriarchal Blessing, she gave her birth year as 1808.
